Supportive Care

UCAC believes in offering families truly comprehensive adoption care. In addition to excellent medical services, our team offers spiritual, social, and peer support to parents:

Social Services: Our Social Worker provides support to those patients receiving Comprehensive Adoption Care who are living with HIV/AIDS.

Spiritual: Some parents often feel called to adopt children because of their religious faith and commitments. Our Adoption Chaplain helps provide pastoral care and counsel to families as they negotiate the complex and often stressful adoption process. In addition to holding monthly support groups for parents, the Chaplain also provides support during regular clinic hours at Comer.

Peer: UCAC works to pair new parents with experienced adoptive parents to provide peer mentoring. In addition to hosting family social events, our Parent Group also hosts an online support community through Facebook.
