A note from my mom & dad

We couldn't be happier with our adoption story. From the moment we brought Annabel home it seemed like she had always been with us. She and her sister Chloe adore each other and are always looking out for each other. We hope to take a family trip to Taiwan some day so that Annabel can learn about her heritage and culture.

From the moment we decided to adopt a child, the University of Chicago Adoption Center was there providing support and guidance. Dr. Gray reviewed all of the information we received from the adoption agency from the referral, to the monthly updates, to the medical records. Annabel also had her first check-up with Dr. Gray and Linda Walsh. Adoption can be a long journey and it is nice to know that there are wonderful people like Dr. Gray and Linda Walsh who can help you through.

This is my adoption story

My name is Annabel and I am adopted. I was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. In Taiwan I lived with a nanny until my family could come to get me. My parents picked me up when I was 7 months old. The day we met, I knew it was meant to be. We spent a week travelling around Taipei and sight-seeing, then we came home to Chicago. My favorite part was meeting my big sister, Chloe at the airport.
